This Privacy Policy explains how Future Flow Tech Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”) handles your information in the OptiFarm mobile and web application (the “App”) and on our public website at optifarm.app (the “Website”). We process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
The App and the Website are treated differently in one respect worth stating plainly: the App carries no advertising or tracking technology of any kind, while the Website does. Which rules apply where is set out below.
We do not use your farm, livestock, account or photo data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertising networks. The App contains no advertising trackers, so nothing you record at the crush is used to target you. Our Website is separate and does use advertising and analytics technology, which is described under Our Website, cookies and advertising below.
This section applies only to our public website at optifarm.app. It does not apply to the App, and none of the services below receive your farm or livestock records.
We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our own marketing as the basis for this processing, as permitted by section 11(1)(f) of POPIA. You can stop it at any time using your browser’s cookie and tracking controls, a content blocker, or the ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account. Doing so has no effect on the App, on your records, or on your ability to use OptiFarm.
Your data is stored in our backend (Supabase) and synced to your devices. Access is restricted to your organisation using row-level security, and data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We use the following processors solely to operate the App: Supabase (database, authentication, storage), and map-tile/geocoding providers for the optional farm-boundary map. The Website uses the separate services listed under Our Website, cookies and advertising, which never receive your records. We do not sell your data.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (More → Delete account). This permanently removes your account and profile, and deletes the data of any organisation for which you are the sole member. You may also contact us to request deletion.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
OptiFarm is a business tool and is not directed at children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
