This Privacy Policy explains how Future Flow Tech Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”) handles your information in the OptiFarm mobile and web application (the “App”) and on our public website at optifarm.app (the “Website”). We process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
The App and the Website are treated differently, and it is worth stating plainly where the line now falls. The iOS and Android apps carry no advertising or tracking technology of any kind. The web app carries one thing only: when an account is created it reports that a registration happened, and nothing else. The Website uses advertising and analytics technology throughout. Which rules apply where is set out below.
We do not use your farm, livestock, account or photo data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertising networks. Nothing you record at the crush is used to target you. The iOS and Android apps contain no advertising trackers at all. The web app contains one, and it fires once: when you create an account it tells Meta that a registration happened, so we can tell which of our adverts bring farmers to OptiFarm. It does not report the pages you open, how you use the app, or anything at all about your farm, your animals or your records. Our Website is separate and uses advertising and analytics technology throughout, which is described under Our Website, cookies and advertising below.
This section applies to our public website at optifarm.app. The Meta Pixel described below is also present in the web app, but only to report the single registration event described above, and never to follow you around it. None of the services below receive your farm or livestock records.
We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our own marketing as the basis for this processing, as permitted by section 11(1)(f) of POPIA. You can stop it at any time using your browser’s cookie and tracking controls, a content blocker, or the ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account. Doing so has no effect on the App, on your records, or on your ability to use OptiFarm.
Your data is stored in our backend (Supabase) and synced to your devices. Access is restricted to your organisation using row-level security, and data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We use the following processors solely to operate the App: Supabase (database, authentication, storage), and map-tile/geocoding providers for the optional farm-boundary map. The Website uses the separate services listed under Our Website, cookies and advertising, which never receive your records. We do not sell your data.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (More → Delete account). This permanently removes your account and profile, and deletes the data of any organisation for which you are the sole member. You may also contact us to request deletion.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
OptiFarm is a business tool and is not directed at children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
